It's always good to think about where it all came from and why you make art. Thanks to this post; it is inspiring me to do the same and i think it is a great way for a good reset! The meme is sooo accurate. I love that movie! Thanks Danielle! :)

Hello Danielle! I have followed your Instagram from quiet some time but I'm glad I followed you here as well. There is something about this space that feels so cozy to me. 🥰 This is the reason I started my newsletter too! All the best to you and looking forward to reading more about your journey!

P.S. I'll be turning 26 next year and it's terrifying to think how old I am now 🥺 Mentally I am still 20

Thank you so much, Vrushali!

I'm really happy to hear you're enjoying it too, I've been loving both writing and reading here. 🥰

Right? Me too, I think I'll always feel like I'm still 20!

Haha yes!

Also, I realized I like reading these detailed posts so much more than the ones on Instagram. The whole algorithm is making it so difficult to read something now. Everyone is fighting for my attention. But I'm glad I came across your story - which I don't normally get to see - announcing your newsletter.

I completely agree. I used to use Instagram in this way before as a way to document my thoughts and process, like micro-blogging, but it didn't feel like the best space for that anymore (long form posts).

Thank you! ❤️

I love getting seeing the art little Danielle was making! Birthdays (and birthday months) are such great times for those reflections. I’m looking forward to seeing where 27 takes you! Happy early birthday!!

Thanks Alicja! These little artworks I made as a child are so dear to me. It's so fun to find recurring patterns in them (I'm basically drawn to the same things I was as a child). I definitely want to bring that childlike wonder into my artwork as an adult haha.

Thank you for birthday wishes! 🥰
